Hey, everybody, would this work:
Using my (digital *YAY*) camera, take a series of 8-second long videos, and edit them together, and then add voice and music, etc., to it?
PS- I know it will work, but is it very practical? If it is even remotley practical, I'll film it and post a link to it here! YAY DIGITAL CAMERAS!

heh.. it doesn't sound very practical, but if it's all you got then i say go for it.
I have friends who have edited films from their mobile phones.

Ther only problem is that every time you've shot 8 seconds of footage you'll have to go back to the computer and transfer it.
If you don't mind doing that...

If your camera takes memory sticks or flash cards you could get a few cheap second hand ones of e-bay and use them as "tapes", might extend the storage a bit.

There's one solution to the low memory: Either 1. I do clay-mation with legos, or, 2. I use my eventual laptop to carry with me at all times. Or, 3. I could just hook it up and use it as a straight camera, recording directly to the computer. Right now, 1. is my only solution.

Its still a film, aint it?
i did one abit ago, messing about, i did it as a series of photographs together, with 2 small clips of video, with music and me talking over the top of it...
it was a 'boredom' thing i did one day about 2 years ago. It came out pretty good, my friends liked it. it was a story of getting some Koolaid in the post, god i love that stuff.

Silly question maybe, but couldn't you do it on a VHS camera? I mean the quality would be better and it's cheap as shit.
You can get quite a nice camera for $15US on ebay.

God I miss making VHS movies and editing tape-to-tape. Soooooooo manly!
